Who Is Donald DeSantis, and What Is His Song Hollywood?

On the July 31, 2019 episode of Smash Notes, host Kirill Zubovsky opens with a song by his friend Donald DeSantis. He introduces Donald as a Seattle entrepreneur who had been a co-founder of the real-estate company Hightower.
In 2008 Donald needed a break, so he packed backcountry skis and a guitar and drove to the Canadian Rockies. He did not know how to play. He started writing his own music anyway, and friends encouraged him to record it and put it online. He did, still a little freaked out by the attention. The song Kirill plays is Hollywood.
