Smash Notes

Show notes generator for any podcast episode

Paste an episode link, or type the show and guest. If Smash Notes already has it, you go straight to the notes. If not, we write public, timestamped notes, with the speaker named, and email you the link.

Free requests open soon. Episodes we already cover open right away.

How it works

  1. Paste a link or describe it. An Apple Podcasts or RSS link, or something like “Lex Fridman with Jensen Huang”. Pick the right episode from the matches.
  2. Confirm your email. Your request joins the free queue, oldest first.
  3. Get the notes. We email you the note page when it passes our quality checks.

What a note looks like

Real notes from popular episodes. Each one answers a question, names who said it, and links to the moment.

Questions

Is the show notes generator free?
Yes. We write a few free episodes a day. When today's free slots are gone, the page says so and you can try again tomorrow.
Which links work?
An Apple Podcasts episode or show link, or the show's RSS feed. A show link means its latest episode. Spotify and YouTube links are not supported yet.
What do the show notes look like?
Each note is one question a listener would ask and the answer from the episode, with the speaker named and the minute it was said.
What if Smash Notes already has the episode?
You go straight to its notes. Nothing is queued.
Why do you need my email?
To confirm the request and to send you the link when the notes are live. We only email you about that request.
Are there limits?
Episodes up to three hours. Up to three open requests and five a day per email address.
Will every request be published?
Only if the notes pass the same quality checks as every other page on Smash Notes. If they don't, we email you and publish nothing.
