What Is Cysic Compute-fi?
at 30:06
Answer
Leo Fan says the essence of Cysic is a compute-fi vision. Compute-fi means people contribute idle computing resources into the Cysic network. A contributor can run Cysic software on servers, a laptop, or even a cell phone and add the machine to the community.
AI computation is pushing demand higher, and Leo Fan says the Cysic network can coordinate the different hardware devices so community members with idle computing power receive real yields. He says decentralized computing will be more reliable than centralized building. In the past several days, data centers for a lot of centralized players went through a lot of disruption. Decentralized computation can solve the disruption.
The network is a way to turn spare machines into paid compute while centralized data centers are seeing disruption. The same software runs on hardware people already own, from a cell phone up through a server, and the coordination is what produces the yield.
