Victor L. Brown is a seasoned leader with extensive experience within both large global and start-up companies that deploy enterprise class software and sensor-based applications. Victor has driven business success as a leader and as a hands-on practitioner of best-practice approaches.  

Currently, Victor is the CEO of Xcellent Life, an early stage Digital Health Analytics Company, which has launched an innovative mobile software platform to improve the quality of life by improving healthcare with better consumer engagement and analysis of health using artificial intelligence.

Victor started his career with Schneider Electric a $35B company operating in 120 different countries & 144,000 Employees, as an engineer. After 5 years, Victor transitioned to a marketing role. 

As a marketing leader, Victor had ownership of a line of software products & solutions where he spent another 6 years driving product growth year-over-year. After Schneider Electric, Victor joined his first start-up BPL Global, where he built an international product marketing team driving triple-revenue growth in a 3-year span.  

He has also worked as a consultant, where he founded APEX Strategy & Marketing to help small to mid-size companies develop go-to-market strategies and provide them with deep insights to best-practice approaches for growth and product commercialization. More recently, and previous to founding Xcellent Life, Victor served in various VP roles where he drove business growth at startups. 

Additionally, Victor has participated in national and international thought-leadership events as a speaker discussing emerging technology trends and the processes to getting technological innovations adopted. Victor enjoys his downtime by spending time with family and staying active in the gym.

Victor’s Advice

I think the one advice I would do is that if you have an idea that you want to move forward in and you want to be an entrepreneur. I think it's very important that you are passionate about what that idea is about and what you're doing. 

Because the journey of being an entrepreneur is very challenging, and it won't be very rewarding in terms of financial rewards in the early stages. I know it can be longer term, but in the early stages. 

You need something that is more tied to passion that drives you forward past some of the challenges that you deal with. So do something that you're passionate about. And when you find that, I think it makes the road and journey much easier.
