Mark’s Bio

"Mark Begert is the CEO of FabuLingua, a language learning platform for kids based on interactive, children’s stories.

FabuLingua is rethinking the way second languages are introduced and reinforced, especially for young children whose brains are actively wiring to all new language input. Applying stories and reading is a timeless practice to learning our native language, and FabuLingua believes it is also naturally effective in second language acquisition. FabuLingua uses technology, delightful stories and game design to create an engaging and effective language learning experience.

FabuLingua's unique model helps publishers, writers, and illustrators from all over the world to publish and monetize their stories. Our first product teaches Spanish & English, but soon we will offer multiple languages, markets and mediums.

Before founding FabuLingua, Mark has been a start-up to public company founder, operations and finance executive specializing in early and growth stage challenges. Mark has led the growth and maturation of investor-backed companies in the technology, energy and consumer sector, raising $100 million + in angel, venture and public equity for 4 companies. He has worked with both private and public company executive teams, boards, and investors. Mark has a BA from Harvard University and serves on the Board of start-up, coop and non-profit organizations."

Mark’s Advice

From our perspective, I would just encourage parents, uncles, aunts, and grandparents, to give the gift of language learning to their kids, nephews and grandkids. We'd loved it to be through fabulingua, but you know, if there are other ways that that are suitable as well. It's something that I believe benefits these children so much in terms of developing perspective and empathy in our world. Which is something that's going to sort of benefit generations for years to come.

If you want to learn more about our particular method, and you want to see some examples of the stories that we have, and understand the brain science and the learning science behind language learning in general. Then I would really recommend you go to our website which has great resources around how it works.
