The Death of Dani Smith

Dani was a confident and vivacious young woman who on the night of July 18, 2014, went for an ATV ride with her on-again/off-again boyfriend Jeff Wellborn. Unfortunately, Dani never made it home. Dani died in the hospital that night from a gunshot wound to her head and it was ruled a suicide. Many questions surrounded her death. Why were there three possible crime scenes? Why were none of the other ATV riders interviewed? How could she have shot herself while being reclined in a car seat with a seatbelt on? Why would a former Marine who served two tours in Iraq confuse the sound of a gunshot thinking it was a firecracker?
