How Does Starcloud Cool Computers in Space?
Adi Oltean says Starcloud cools computers in space with the liquid cooling that data centers on Earth switched to in 2025, because liquid cooling is the only way to reach the compute density of the next generation of data centers.
Starcloud tries to vertically integrate as much as possible. It does not manufacture the Nvidia boards or other high-level compute systems. Everything is integrated on site. The radiators were manufactured in house, and the solar panels were assembled there. Much of the cooling system is built internally. He calls that system the secret sauce, and the cooling system and the radiators are by far the largest technical challenge. The build is a point of pride for how
