Can Replit Launch a Directory?
Kirill Zubovsky says a directory built in Replit, Lovable, or Lindy can launch, and the builder will not get exactly what they want. The result is not necessarily the original need, so the practical move is to accept an imperfect first version and keep going with what is already in hand. When the build is close enough, somebody can help with the rest, and an offer to help stands.
Replit is apparently getting much better, and the tools will get better. Cursor is working on a lot, and his own projects are built on top of Cursor. A single request still does not produce a finished product, though the work is getting there. On camera the build produced a file structure for how the components would look and a beta schema. Offline, the full specification gets a full read, a check that it matches the intended behavior, edits where pieces are off, and extra detail where pieces are missing.
Someone without coding experience needs the instructions to be as detailed as possible. The workflow adds test-driven development so each piece is tested after it is built, and the AI is asked to stay granular. Instead of generating the whole directory at once, the first step is one page: save the information as data.json, confirm the single page displays, then move to the next step.
