What Does Jonathan Sposato Want When Another Kid Is Bullied?

Jonathan Sposato told Geek at Sea that the lesson he wants most is for a child to stand up for other people, not only for himself. When his son, about ten, says the group made fun of a girl, Sposato stops him. He asks why she deserved it, why everyone jumped on one person, and how it would feel to be that person. Many against one is probably unfair, and the boy should ask whether he had to join. Schools now teach children to recognize bullying, which he welcomes, but it still happens. Talking about it plainly with a ten-year-old matters more than sealing childhood off from it.
