Did Anthropic's Revenue Jump From $41 Million to $16.3 Billion?
Alex Kantrowitz says Anthropic went from $41 million in revenue three years ago to $16.3 billion in the first half of 2026. Dan Primack agrees, and treats a jump like that as something that does not happen.
What Primack finds almost more remarkable is how recently the race still looked settled. About 18 months ago, OpenAI investors he spoke with thought the frontier model race was already decided. They knew Anthropic was there and still did not see it coming. They treated the business market as small next to owning the consumer, the way they pointed to Google, and they misread that.
Alex Kantrowitz also puts revenue at $6.6 million per employee and asks how that ranks against a typical tec

Why Is Spark the Only Firm in Anthropic's S-1?
Dan Primack says Spark is the only firm named in Anthropic's S-1, because Spark has a board seat and the document includes related money transactions. A venture firm can invest a billion dollars, or 5 billion dollars, and still stay off the page, because the amount is too small next to the expected valuation. A billion dollars is more than most venture firms have ever raised in total.
The S-1 leaves out the fundraising history, aside from a couple of small exceptions. It will take a long time to figure out what venture firms have made on Anthropic. The example is an investment at a 200 million dollar valuation, or a 200 billion dollar valuation, later worth 2 trillion dollars, and even then

Did Anthropic's Filing Warn of Ending Humanity?
Dan Primack says Anthropic's filing goes past ordinary product harm to ending humanity, and that no earlier financial filing has included a sentence like it. He does not think Oppenheimer went public.
The risk factor Alex Kantrowitz reads from the document says concerns have been raised inside the organization and by other researchers, regulators, policymakers, and industry participants. Without appropriate safeguards, oversight, and security measures, advanced systems could pose catastrophic or existential risks to humanity, particularly if misused, replicated, weaponized, or allowed to operate with a high degree of autonomy. Primack's plainer version is that ending humanity as people know

How Concentrated Is Anthropic's Customer Revenue?
Alex Kantrowitz says no single Anthropic customer now represents more than 10% of revenue, after two customers made up 25% in the last version of the numbers. For the nine months ended September 30, 2026, about 79% of revenue came from customers outside the top five for the three months ended that date. About 48% of total revenue still comes through the Amazon, Google, and Microsoft marketplaces. He reads those marketplace sales as a diverse base of customers, even though Anthropic relies heavily on the hyperscalers, and two of the three have invested in Anthropic.
Dan Primack calls that a real diversification, and the long tail this business needs. Being the foundation of business and of s

Is Anthropic's IPO a Referendum on the AI Market?
Dan Primack says the Anthropic IPO will be a referendum on the AI market, or on the business of AI, though that reading is not necessarily fair. A price a little below or above that trillion is not a big deal in the big picture.
Primack's view is that the economy holds up, while circularity in the contracts is still the issue. Anthropic's contracts with SpaceX, Broadcom, and the other companies leave them incredibly connected. The filing matched leaked financials already in circulation. Revenue is going through the roof, and so is spend. The Q3 numbers were not in the document. Primack's guess is that, before Anthropic goes public, they show up in an amended filing. Alex Kantrowitz puts the
