Why Does Veering Towards Secondary Gains Leave a Person Hollow?

Veering towards secondary or tertiary gains leaves a person hollow if not careful. Secondary gains are the things that you have to replenish constantly such as attention, money, and wealth. The primary is the person that hugs you and loves you exactly as you are. The most intense primary gain moment is when kids are four, five, and you open the door as Ultraman and they run because you are home. Primary gains never go away and are bedrock.
