How Does Alex Use Twitch and the Hawthorne Effect to Get Work Done?

Alex, host of Building an Indie Business, sits down, opens a fresh browser window so old tabs cannot distract him, and puts on Twitch. The music is songs he has already heard a hundred times, including Nirvana, the Beatles, and sometimes Bill Burr, so his ears are busy and his eyes stay on the work. He streams himself working because he works harder when he knows someone is watching. He names the finding the Hawthorne effect: people work harder when they are being observed.
