Why Does Google Refuse Ads for the Utah Gun Exchange?

Connor Boyack says Google and everyone would not put ads on the Utah Gun Exchange because the website had to do with firearms. He had three younger brothers, messaged one who had done online marketing, and proposed a site for online marketplace sales of guns in Utah. He is a web developer, so he registered the domain and built the site while his brother took the business and marketing side. A friend already had the same idea, and four people in total launched the company. It remains the premier and basically only place in Utah where buyers can purchase guns from private parties.

He sold his interest a few years in, not for much money at all. Marketing was hard to scale. Most advertising revenue came almost as barter: free products such as guns, ammo, knives, and generators, plus random things advertisers handed over. The deals were fun for a while, and there was no massive upside.
