Will AI Create More Jobs?

George Kurtz firmly believes each major technology shift over the last couple hundred years created more opportunity and more jobs, and AI will do the same. The jobs were different, but there were more of them.

Programming still needs people to manage the agents and people to think about the architectures. The work is not fire and forget. Human creativity is still required. Cybersecurity is a great field for young folks in university who understand AI and security. The field keeps changing, and it is not a solvable problem. Vendors like to say they solved it, but the work is to mitigate the risk, come up with the best solutions, and protect customers. The field is always evolving. In five years there will be technology we have not even thought about today, and people in university will be some of the people thinking about how to protect it.

Parents ask all the time what their kids should study. Cybersecurity, technology, and AI is a fantastic field.
