Why Did Mother Teresa Keep the Sick Suffering?
Cody Tucker says Mother Teresa put sick people in a giant concrete storage room and gave all the money donated to her to the Vatican instead of using it to treat them. She believed suffering brought people closer to God, so she walked up and down the rows of sick, dying people as if to show how close to God she was.
Cody Tucker says the sick got very basic things, in Cody Tucker's view, while they slept on concrete floors. Millions were donated, including money from Princess Diana, while Mother Teresa looked like a frail old nun and funneled the money right up to the Vatican, the vast majority of it. People who expected care got locked in a giant concrete room with basically no windows and no sunlight, sick with dysentery, diarrhea on the bed sheets, slowly slipping away.
In most people's eyes Mother Teresa is synonymous with caring, kindness, and virtue, the way Einstein is with being smart. Cody Tucker says the public image is why she became Mother Teresa to everybody, while the room was a torture chamber where people suffered constantly.
