  Megyn Kelly tells Ari Emanuel she likes the man and respects the agent, and that agents in general have brought her nothing but bad experiences. Ari Emanuel defends the job he started in. An agent, he says, takes an artist's dreams, arranges the money and the freedom to make the work, and gets the artist through conflict. He calls that one of the great art forms on the business side, and he says artists are hard to protect without it.

  Megyn Kelly says news is different. She only used an agent to negotiate a deal near the end of her time in cable news, and it was pointless because she could negotiate her own deal. She adds that not everybody can, or wants to.

  Megyn Kelly says she met Jeffrey Katzenberg in Hollywood in 2015 and 16. He told her he would personally make sure Hillary Clinton won and would donate whatever it took.   Ari Emanuel sent Roger Ailes a shovel to respond to an insult from Roger Ailes. Roger Ailes had acted as if Roger Ailes came from nothing while Ari Emanuel had not.

  Roger Ailes gave a long speech about digging ditches in Ohio during a meeting with Ari Emanuel. Roger Ailes mentioned being a Democrat along with his brother as if Roger Ailes had worked with his hands and come up from nothing. Ari Emanuel took the speech as an insult and sent the shovel. Ari Emanuel has done a lot of similar giftings when facing snide comments about shoveling shit.

  The gesture demonstrated how Ari Emanuel would not back down to anybody. Roger Ailes did not like the talent getting connected with agents at all.
