Why Does Koenigsegg Do Ideas People Call Crazy?

David Senra reads Christian von Koenigsegg's answer to whether anyone has told him an idea was way too crazy to do. Koenigsegg says he has heard that a couple of times. The company is where it is because it did those over-the-top things and did them well. It cannot become a different company overnight. It is here to push boundaries, which is what he likes. Sometimes that is frustrating and sometimes it is painful, but you are alive, and if that is who you are, you have to be who you are.

Asked where he sees Koenigsegg in 10 years, he calls the question a tough one. He never names a revenue number or a number of cars to sell. He expects the company to move forward technically and to keep making inspiring products. Sports cars may end up as a spinoff of what they do now. He hopes Koenigsegg will have grown a little, because a company is either growing or shrinking, and he would rather grow than shrink.
