Back to Big Tech’s $3T AI Bet, Claude Writes 90% of Anthropic’s Code, AIs Editing AI Brains | EP #308, with Salim Ismail & Dave Blundin.

How Much of Anthropic's Code Did Claude Write?

Peter Diamandis says an Anthropic SEC filing shows Claude authored 90% of September 2026 code contributions, and the share was over 90%. Daily code contributions per engineer at Claude were 45 times higher than two years ago.

The first figure is the share of that month's code contributions authored by Claude. The second is the one that blew his mind: daily output per engineer at 45 times the level from two years earlier. He repeats the multiple so nobody hears it as 45%. He calls 45 times an insane number. Both figures are what the filing showed, and he treats them as the edge of how code is now getting written.
