Why Does Farming Still Depend on Glyphosate?
at 35:03
Answer
Joe Rogan says the food business cannot stay open without glyphosate. An executive order kept the herbicide because dropping it would wreck the food business. He heard the argument when RFK Jr. explained it on the show.
Switching off glyphosate herbicide would cost a huge amount of money. Farms already have another option: lasers that scan a field and zap the plants that are not the crop. Regenerative farming takes a decade. The soil has to be changed and composted, and the biomaterial brought back to life with dead animals and fertilizer. The ground now is a toxic dust layer. Growers pour minerals and nitrogen on it so crops can grow. Leaving industrial fertilizers and herbicides behind takes forever and costs so much money.
Joe Rogan says the people behind the system chose maximum profit and kept poisoning people after they knew. He says they probably did not realize it at the start.
