How Does James Beshara Describe Street Artist Fnnch?
James Beshara introduces fnnch as the San Francisco street artist behind the giant honey bears, pop-art lips, poppies, and poodles that turn up in odd corners of the city. He says fnnch was not always pursuing art and rarely speaks in public about his life. Beshara calls him the only anonymous TED speaker to date. The public side of the work is the art itself, meant as a free upgrade to the street, even though painting there is often illegal and some neighbors do not want it. Beshara says fnnch was making a living from the work within a few years of picking up a spray can. The site he gives is fnnch.com.
