Who Does Rocky Flintstone Identify With in Belinda Blinked?
at 6:48
A listener asked which character Rocky Flintstone most identifies with. On Footnotes, the hosts read his answer: Sir James Godwin, because Godwin "pulls the shots" and is closer to Rocky's age. Jamie, James, and Alice correct that to "calls the shots" and note that Rocky says readers will get more of Sir James in later books. They had guessed the master plan might be clearer in Rocky's head than on the page. Sir James is the knight who later hosts the charity tombola, so Rocky lines himself up with the older man directing events, not with Belinda Blumenthal.
