Why Is the Israeli Connection Network Exclusive?

Oren Zeev says the Israeli Connection Network is exclusive because when you try to help everyone, you help no one.

The original idea was to help Israeli companies in Silicon Valley with guidance and connections. Five or six organizations had the same mission before the Israeli Connection Network. They were all very open and inclusive, and none was very effective. He was a very hands-off chairman. He helped with advice and some connections while someone else built the organization. Being exclusive lets the network curate the other side too: the best investors, the best corporate executives, and potential customers. An inclusive group is a lot of noise for the investors and executives. An exclusive, curated group gives them a reason to spend time, because the people in the group are amazing.

A high bar is difficult to maintain while trying to be objective, and the success has been great.
