What Is Satya Nadella Most Excited About?

Satya Nadella is most excited about a general purpose technology spreading and diffusing throughout the world faster than anything else, and throughout all sectors of the economy. He hopes the spread brings a real shift in the frontier of global growth, where everyone gets lifted rather than a count of winners and losers.

He has been looking forward to a technology even at that level of power. People say the technology is not just another general purpose technology. His hope is that it still diffuses unlike anything else. The hope has been his dream. His father was a development economist, and the work was always about convergence growth: when the global south gets something that suddenly boosts growth. He hopes the technology is the boost.
