Will Companies That Are Not Great at AI Go Out of Business?
Mark Cuban says there will be two types of companies: companies great at AI, and companies that have gone out of business. People split the same way. Some use AI to learn anything. Others use AI so they do not have to learn anything.
Asked where no one is building, the answer is all of them. The same advice is for kids and for 50-year-old, 60-year-old, and 70-year-old entrepreneurs. Take the time to learn AI, spot the companies and problems AI is not solving, and talk to an AI by voice or by typing. Comfort with talking to an AI is the biggest challenge for entrepreneurs using AI, and a lot of hesitancy remains. With the first spreadsheets, people still had a 10-key adding machine and would check it to make sure the spreadsheets were right. Founders still have to check the output, and can take the output of Grok and put it into ChatGPT. When working through contracts, start with one model, tell it a peer already weighed in on the contract, ask what it thinks, and spend a couple of hours. A couple of hours is the whole ask for young entrepreneurs.
People who use AI in order to learn, and who keep talking to it, are the ones who can go after the problems AI is not solving.
