Does 6sense Have a Bigger Problem Than AI?

Adam Robinson says 6sense's bigger problem is not AI versus a lack of AI. The product concept got a lot of early traction and has not held up, which he calls a common pattern in tech.

A lot of companies in the free-money era got farther than they should have. Tech firms were buying other tech constantly, money was cheap, and once a venture investor came in, the rest of the portfolio often bought the product. He has not heard a single buyer call 6sense obviously amazing. Most people bought it to be part of the moment: everyone was doing it, it was intent data, and it was hard to tell whether it worked. When money is free, that is a small problem. It is a large problem now.

The companies going from zero to 100 million ARR in about a year and a half, with about 50 people, are AI-native. They sell an AI product and run with a small team. Intercom is the outlier among older software companies, because its core growth engine actually became AI-first. RB2B was not built that way.
