What Does Josh Wolfe Say Lux Capital Does?

On The Knowledge Project with Shane Parrish, Josh Wolfe says Lux Capital finds brilliant people and backs them. The firm raises money from endowments, foundations, wealthy families, and individuals, then puts it into people who are inventing the future. He uses the line that the best way to predict the future is to invent it. Lux looks for founders with irreverence and a picture of the world that disagrees with the consensus, then gives them resources to recruit, raise more money, and carry out a plan. A large part of the job, Wolfe says, is telling who is real from who is faking it.
