How Does the Dream 100 Strategy Win Local Clients?
James Dickerson says the Dream 100 wins local clients by choosing about 100 companies a seller would love to work with, learning those businesses until the seller is the expert, and adding value for months before asking for a call. An agent can build the list, read the reviews, crawl the sites, and look up the owners. He pairs that list with Jay Abraham's rule: become the advisor, not a vendor. Free value goes out to that group every week, and a seller does not need an audience to start. Ads on Meta about helping plumbers can reach people in that market, because he finds the ad system good at finding them, as long as the ads are not asking for a demo on the first day. He points to Chet Holmes, whose longer approach started to pay off by month six.
Lumpy mail is the piece he stacks on the ads, a tactic he credits to Dan Kennedy and Sam Ovens. A box goes to those 100 people with a brass fitting and a letter that links to a page rebuilt for that company. The line is that the plumber fixes plumbing leaks and the seller will fix the leaks in the marketing. One trade, one city, in the words those customers already use. Reading local heating-and-cooling threads, he found people who did not want a large firm owned by private equity. They wanted a local company that had been around for a while. That is the message he would send.
