Did Farah Khan Make More on YouTube Than Directing?
Colin Rosenblum and Samir Chaudry say Farah Khan, in an interview, said she made more money from her YouTube channel in two years than in her entire career as a director, TV host, and choreographer. She has directed successful Bollywood movies and is credited with modernizing the visual language of Bollywood dance. The hosts leave open whether the comparison flatters the channel or says something about pay across those years.
She posts every two to three days. The videos draw two, three, four, and five million views. She goes into other celebrities' houses, talks with them, and brings her chef to cook with them. The thumbnails stay consistent, so a viewer can follow the series and look forward to who comes next. The channel plays like an HGTV show, and the room calls it a knockout.
