Why Did Soccer Players Join YouTube After Cristiano Ronaldo?

Colin Rosenblum and Samir Chaudry say Cristiano Ronaldo had a large effect on soccer players joining YouTube. Getting to 83 million subscribers made other players look again and see themselves as global superstars. The move is recent. Soccer is unlike other sports on that point. An NFL player, unless already the most recognizable, does not have the same immediate pull.

Erling Haaland's life is already interesting to millions of people before any extra concept, because the job and the team are interesting on their own. Add a concept and the subject becomes two to three times as interesting. Dan Clancy, the chief executive of Twitch, had told them that some people have it on camera and some people do not. Haaland has it. He wants to make the videos, and he is having a blast.
