How Many Videos Should a Celebrity Launch on YouTube?
Colin Rosenblum and Samir Chaudry say a celebrity should launch a YouTube channel with four or five videos. MatPat gave them that rule on the show. When excitement is already around the launch, keep going so a viewer can become a fan.
LeBron James is the example in the room. He and Kevin Hart launched the same week, with LeBron a little earlier. LeBron has three videos, each about an hour, roughly four hours with LeBron James. They call it probably the first time that much time with him has been available. The Shop was his interview show on HBO, where he brought interesting people together. The golf channel is that show in a lower-lift form: an ensemble talking and laughing, cinematic footage of the course, and a first episode that includes the history of a Scottish golf course. The format feels like a men's magazine, and LeBron has followed the launch rule.
