Which Celebrity Has the Best YouTube Channel?

Colin Rosenblum and Samir Chaudry pick Erling Haaland as the best celebrity YouTube channel in their bracket. The final votes go to him over Farah Khan.

Most celebrity channels fail because audiences can tell when someone has to make the videos rather than wanting to. The first conversation, before any pitch, is what the person would want to make even if nobody watched, and whether they can keep it up for 52 weeks, week in and week out. A channel also needs a single-sentence mission. For The Colin and Samir Show, the mission is to educate people in the creator economy and to educate creators. If a channel cannot be understood in one sentence, the vision is not clear enough.

Haaland lasts because he is being himself at every step. Farah Khan lasts because the house-visit show feels authentic to her. The other path is a format where the celebrity can still be themselves. Advice from a decade ago was not to make television for the internet. Television for YouTube can work when the concept is really good and the show is packaged like YouTube.
