Who Leads the Best New Podcast Scoreboard?
at 42:33
Answer
Mike reads the Best New Podcast statistics board out loud. He is in last place with 20.8 points. He says he has been last for a while, and he says he is nosing up. Duffy is second with 24.8 points, four points exactly ahead of Mike. Mack is first with 38.3 points.
Mike says Duffy had 19.8 points four episodes ago. Duffy's love of Best New Music has added about five points across five episodes, about a point an episode, which Mike calls the place where Duffy's ship is sinking. Mack, Mike says, keeps rising slow and steady while the other two tank on Best New Music calls. Duffy's defense is that Pitchfork opened the year firing Best New Music tags out, as if breathing earned one. Mack remembers a quiet January, then a February when the tags arrived for everybody.
