Why Does Mack Call B'Day a Bidet?
at 51:32
Answer
Duffy reads Beyoncé's 2006 album title as Bidet, and Mike says that reading is correct. Mack says Beyoncé intends the name to be B-Day, as in Beyoncé Day. If Mack were crafting the title he would write B hyphen D-A-Y. Beyoncé wrote B apostrophe D-A-Y, and Mack says it is not his fault the name comes out sounding like a bidet.
Duffy says B'Day, or Bidet, or whatever a listener wants to call it, scored a 7.2. He calls 7.2 lukewarm, a normal pop album score. He adds that 2006 was the height of Pitchfork, a thumb and a big toe in the indie river, and then he admits he has no idea what that picture means.
