How Many People Visit Disney Parks Each Year?
Ben Gilbert says 145 million people visit the Disney parks each year. Before the pandemic the total was 157 million, the all-time high, so attendance is still under that peak six years later. The amount made per visit is way up and has climbed about 5 percent a year for decades, though he is not sure of the exact rate.
David Rosenthal had just called the parks crushing it coming out of COVID. Visitors are actually down. On a financial basis the parks have been strong anyway, because the gains are price increases. Critics say Disney charges too much and nickel and dimes guests. ESPN has been declining and Disney Plus has had a rocky run over the last couple of years, and the parks have filled the gap.
