How Do You Find Creators to Make Your Ads?

Hector Serrano says a new brand should not wait for the best creators to apply. On Trybe, a company with no history is easy to skip. The page shows how much the brand has paid out and how many creators are in the group. Wispr Flow's page shows about $300,000 paid out and about 50 creators, and the inbound follows from that. A brand at zero dollars and zero creators will have a hard time. He left the platform and went to Instagram.

Search the niche, search for creators, and walk through the accounts those people follow. Send about 150 to 250 direct messages in a week, and write each one. A blast of 3,000 automated notes brings back weak creators. A careful week should produce five or six people worth hiring. Bring them in, then build a culture around them: weekly meetings, coaches, giveaways, and in Wispr Flow's case a San Francisco retreat for some of the strongest. Add people slowly, about five or six every few weeks. Once some money has gone out, applications arrive on their own. Wispr Flow now gets about 1,000 to 1,500 a week, and he accepts one, two, or three. A creator who refers someone he actually wants is paid $100. The group is capped near 50. It is a thank-you, not a chain of people paid to recruit the next hundred.
