Who Is Derek Andersen of Startup Grind and Bevy?
at 0:00
Answer
Derek Andersen cofounded Startup Grind and later started Bevy. On the Indie Hackers Podcast he sits with David Spinks, founder of CMX and vice president of community at Bevy. Courtland Allen describes Startup Grind as a global community of entrepreneurs who meet in person and at conferences, which Andersen built after a run of failed startups, beginning as a small support group for founders. Bevy is the company he runs now, software that lets other companies host and run thousands of real-world community events, the same kind of gathering he had been organizing himself. Spinks had built CMX as a community for the people who run communities, then joined Andersen at Bevy.
